Ok this is my issue. The bike starts fine though the choke doesnt really seem to do much and runs great on the bottom all through first gear now once I hit second and up once she gets to 4.5K thru 7K the throttle is pretty much non existent then she bucks as it gets close to 7 then cleans out and goes like I think it should. Now question is any ideas and what would the syptoms be of a choke thats stuck on cause the bike seems to use a lot of gas. The way it runs kinda of makes me think of something with the choke on but again not sure. Any help is appreciated because it makes it really hard to work on my cornering when I get no throttle response right in the heart of the 45-60 mph range.

low compression in one of the cylinders / clean carbs + spark plugs..
good be messed up fuel line too.. had similar problems with an older katana
Get the carbs cleaned and synched then report back.
Yes!! carb clean is a must.

yeah you may have some dirt going through your filter. when I drop off the relay for you couple of months ago, inside of your tank looked kinda dirty. I would recommend clean out the thank again too. And you may have to take it easy on the corner for now.

Well I thought I cleaned them good at least the jets and bowls. I'll strip them completely down and clean everything peice by peice hopefully that'll do it. I did clean the tank after you seen it Nic but I'll do that again too.

make sure you run a wire through the jets to make SURE they are clean. compressed air doesn't work. Then get them synched
