Adding rear brake fluid to 99 Wide Glide

Is it really supposed to be that difficult or am I missing something obvious?

If it is anything like my 02 Dyna - yes. Exhaust has to come off. Pain in the balls.

At least I was changing the rear tire too, turns out the exhaust has to come off for that too...

That was one of my biggest complaints with my HD is the exhaust had to come off to due the rear tire. Turns out my BMW is sorta the same way. I have to loosen the clamp from the can to the mid pipe, then undo the bold that holds the can on and I can swivel it out of the way.

Yes, neither is a pleasure to do. But, once it's done - should be all set for a while. I did both at same time too. Turns out, my fluid level was fine. Just a maintenance check.

The rear brake was quite soft, so I changed the fluid and bled the brake at the same time. Works perfectly now. I also replaced the battery, put a front tire on, and am in the process for replacing one fork seal and the fork oil on both sides.

I was doing the work as a favor for friend but my kindness paid off handsomely, my friend gave me a 2006 Chevy Uplander that runs great and needs nothing in exchange for the work. I wasn't looking for a used minivan, but I will have two teen drivers home at the end of the week when my oldest comes home from college, and the extra car will probably prove quite handy.

Yup, but only because of my inept mechanical abilities. It has Screamin' Eagle pipes, a big bore kit, and lots of chrome, so it's clearly got the power to win.
