    Emptying coolant overflow tank

My 04 ZX-6R has a coolant overflow tank underneath the gas tank that I need to empty for VIR. I can not figure out anyway to undo the bottom hose to let it drain out. I'm thinking I will need to use some sort of suction and suck it out of the fill cap on the top.

    Any ideas?

    Emptying coolant overflow tank

Why does the coolant overflow need to be emptied?

Shouldnt the bike naturally suck the stuff back out of the overflow tank once the bike is all cooled down??

no there is a mid level that is maintained on all cooling systems overflow reservoirs BUT if the radiator is a bit low it should suck out all the over flow coolant

Yes there is a Low and High level on the overflow, I'm guessing its also a reserve in case the coolant gets low, and there is a tube at the very top of the overflow so that it can spill out if it gets too high. I will use a turkey baster and suck all the goo out, then flush the coolant system again and then fill it up.

Then put the bike together, hope everything is good to go for safety wire, put it on the truck, strap it down, and maybe by that time we will know what the fuck we are doing for getting bikes to VIR

    I'm in Montana.

Last e-mail I got, we were still unsure about what everyone was doing? Did someone forget to press the reply all button?
