Alternative to Dzus Fasteners

What are you guys using instead of Dzus? I don't like the quarter turn, I want something that actually threads in. My bodywork isn't that great, doesn't line up perfectly, and the lower mounts to the upper in a very narrow spot so there is only room for 2 fasteners instead of the standard 3. I want those 2 fasteners to be SECURE. Right now I've solved that by ziptieing or safety wiring the dzus clips to one another.

I'm fed up with it to the point that I'm considering just buying new body work...but mine really isn't terrible and I'd rather spend that money on a million other things.

I want to rivet the base clip to the upper body work, I do not want a "clip-on" style fastener.

Is there something out there? I swear I've seen them before.

I use rivet base d-zuzs, you can get rivet on 'anchor nut' plates that will take full threaded fasteners. Bear in mind you'll need to bush the screws so they never actually compress the glass bodywork or it'll crumble in short order. Metric Self-Locking Nut Plate, Floating | Pegasus

Edit: You can adjust the tension on the D-zuzs fasteners too fyi, either by tweaking the clip or playing with teflon shim washers.

Is there a way to use a dzus fastener of some sort instead of a screw? My bodywork is held on by dzus fasteners except 2 stupid screws, so I always hafta go find the right allen to get the damn body work off.
