    Battery...

I've got the part numbers for my original battery (one number's been superceeded by the other). None of the auto part chains or 'battery stores' I've been to can cross either of 'em. Does anyone know offhand if the TL-R shares the same battery as other models? I'm guessing yes, just don't know myself. I'm trying to avoid the stealership at all costs!

Have you been looking for the stock battery to replace it with? Do those stores carry M/C or ATV specific batteries? If they do they should have the YUASA YTX12BS, which is one of the better batteries for the TLR. You could always check that # and cross match it if they don't have that exact one.

Are you certain that's the Yuasa number for the correct battery for the TL? If so, THAT FUGGIN' ROCKS! Thank you!

Oh, and yes. Those places do have m/c specific batteries...

    Battery...

YT12A-BS is the actual Yuasa number. Dayum...I shoulda just gotten off my arse and brought the damn battery with me to work today. The YTX12BS is about an inch and a half taller and won't fit into the battery compartment...

Know anyone that's looking for a brandy new YTX12BS replacement for what I paid for it? Can't return it...

EDIT: The YTX12BS is for the TL *S*...

That's a lesson I learned a while ago, always bring the battery with you. It took 3 trips to the dealer when I had my 98 R1 to get the rite battery. I just did the same with my R7, the computer said they changed the part number on the battery and didn't have one in stock but when I brought the battery in, they had the exact same thing

No problem, job. Don't worry about it. If I weren't so damn lazy I coulda just gotten on the Yuasa site to find the correct #. I KNEW I shoulda just brought the old battery with me!

Doesn't it cost a shitload to ship batteries? I thought the acid in 'em makes 'em 'hazardous material'?
