its a round headed bolt, i believe theyre called truss head bolts? so you cant get vise grips on it, because its flush to the swingarm and has a domed head

mods: can you change the title of this to Bike Maintenance: South Shore.
figured i'd bump this instead of creating a new thread.
this weekend i'll be doing a chain clean/lube, safety wire, front brake bleed, and steering head adjustment/tighten. These are very common things that need to be checked before a track day, so come on over if you're doing a track day soon & want some help on checking your bike.
I'm in Quincy. PM me if you're interested.
I was looking for an excuse to get off-island for some riding... maybe I'll do a south shore run out your way. It totally depends on work but I'll let you know. Awesome thing you're doing here btw!
just adjusted the steering head bearings, and they were loose. if anyone is looking to learn how to do some basic mantenance on their bikes, let me know.
I'll be taking the front wheel off, installing dust seals, greasing the front axle, installing the front wheel, and safety wring again in a week or so. might be helpful for those who need to get a new front tire & want to learn how to do a wheel removal/installation
