Bike overheating in traffic - 2000 Honda F4

I changed the coolant (and as an unfortunate side effect, the water pump) a few weeks ago and it is still overheating, so I'm suspecting the thermostat is junk. Not terribly tech-savvy, so trying to figure out if it is worth trying on my own, or if I should just bring it into the shop. Anyone have any experience/tips?

I would try and burp it first and possibly check the level also....may just not be circulating due to an air pocket..

My experience is once you overheat badly, the thermostat is junk.

I burped it a few times after I changed the coolant, but I can definitely try it again. It was overheating before I changed the coolant, so I'm not sure if that is the issue, but it is worth a shot.

I don't see any mention of your fans kicking in. Are those even working?

EDIT: Should kick in around the 230 range...somewhere in there

Yup, fan does kick on. I haven't paid attention to what the temp is when it does, so I'll try to make note of that.
