My bike vibrates mostly through the clipons, it might be the only place i feel it, not sure. It started doing this after my lowside at bomo.
It vibrates when:
In neutral moving from 2k rpms and up.
In neutral not moving(sitting on kickstand) from 2k rpms and up.
In any gear moving 2k rpms and up.
In gear with clutch in moving and not moving 2K rpms and up
It doesnt vibrate:
While moving with the clutch in and no gas givin.
When its off.
I am going to change the oil and take the plastics off and check the motor mounts tomorrow. If you are unfamiliar with my lowside, it was when i was fully leaned over and wasnt much of a shock to the woodcraft slider, minimal damage occured to the bike/plastic, the right side clipon had rotated a little bit due to sliding on the ground. Bike is a 2k9 gixxer 750 with 13k miles on it.
Any Ideas?
soft misfire?
Get out while you can
Find your own path
You probably knocked something loose.
My bike vibrates so bad in the clipons my throttle hand is asleep and useless after 20 minutes or so...unless I keep hitting the clutch and flexing my hand. When I hit slow bumps I can hear something making a noise and for the life of me, after having nearly stripped the damn bike...I can't find what's causing it.
It very well could be a heat shield (piece of aluminum) on the side fairing...might want to check those. I should epoxy mine, highly doubtful I'll ever need to remove them from the plastic.
lol i just had to switch to woodcraft clip-ons due to my high-side and damn those unweighted things vibrate a lot more then the old ones.
As people said you prob knocked something loose, just take your fairings off check everything over. even a soft crash can jolt a lot of bolts loose. After my crash i found a lot of loose bolts

Stop Low siding Please...
Pigman I thought that too but I had Sheppo and a few of his mechanic friends check out out Tuesday at bike night, something is definitely not right.
I did go over the bike today and there were a couple bolts that needed some torqueage. I am going to try changing my oil and blinker fluid and see if that helps sooth 'er down.
Stop always passing me!
I also wouldn't be opposed to anyone that wants to take it for a spin to see if they can come up with something.

is it worse on one side? my first thought was a TB sync was in order, but then you mentioned the crash.

Does it vibrate in the ten oclock wheelie position or only when both wheels are on the ground?
Only when his girlfriend is on it.
It is obviously engine induced, I would take off all the bodywork and look for something loose or touching the frame that shouldn't be, exhaust maybe?

Still having this problem. Case of beer to someone who want to diagnose a vibrating bike.
I am positive every bolt that holds the engine in place is tight yet the footpegs and bars vibrate starting at around 4k in every gear. Enough to legitimately numb both feet and hands.
Does the frequency of the vibration go up with the engine RPM? Where is it felt the most? Any noises? Can we put some girls on it?
