... or men....
Tail lights aren't workin... engine runnin, they're not on... rear brake pedal makes em flash (they're integrated w/ the blinkers by the original owner)... front brake lever doesn't make the lights do anything. blinkers DO work.
fuses are ok, bulbs are ok. gotta be somethin w/ the wiring & i'm guessin it's comin from the front. the only wiring i played w/ at VIR was the harness between the front brake lever, starter & cut-off switch and the rest of it... had to get the wires outta there to take off the front end.
i just pulled up the tank & can't see any wiring fubars... everything looks fine...
what a fuckin pain in the ass, i suck at electrical shit.

pfft you don't know any women
I'll take a look at the wiring diagrams at work tomorrow, that's where my manual is. Sounds to me like a severed connection in the wiring harness that runs from the front of the bike to the junction box.
Just so we have our facts straight:
Key in, engine on: NO rear running lights.
Rear Brake pedal: Brake lights come on as normal.
Front Brake lever: No brake lights, no running lights.
Do I have that right?
What about parking switch, P on the ignition switch, turn counterclockwise past the steering lock position. Do you get any rear light action there?
You're going to need to scare up a multimeter to get this diagnosed, do you have access to one? One that beeps to denote a closed circuit would be best, but you can get away with just one that measures resistance.
i know women... i work down near Chinatown, remember?
"Key in, engine on: NO rear running lights." = correct, no lights at all.
"Rear Brake pedal: Brake lights come on as normal." = NO... brake lights FLASH RAPIDLY (faster than my blinkers)they didn't do that before
"Front Brake lever: No brake lights, no running lights." = correct.
do you think i coulda switched the two wires going to the front brake lever switch & that's the problem?i'd rather not switch em & find out incase they're fine & i create more problems

... anyone got that website w/ the zylophone that plays "YOU... ARE... A... FUCKIN... CUNT"???
cuz i just found the fuckin cunt loose wire connection... the integrator that the original owner had installed was connected w/ a bunch of vampire clips... lemme just tell you, they suck ass. one was just a little loose & when i jiggled the connection - SUPRISE - the lights came back to life
my thanks to Darrel for the help over AIMeven though neither of us could figure it out, i now know a couple more things about my electrical system thanks to him

good job![]()
might want to solder those connections to prevent it from happening again
Are integrating ur tails and signals legal in MA?
um.... kinda.... depends on where you get your bike inspectedOriginally posted by MnM

i think it IS legal, but only if the directionals are so many inches apart (like 12-18" or something)... and mine definitely aren't so many inches apart. last time i got my bike inspected i just bolted on the stockers in case someone was watching the guy inspect my bike, but i didn't wire em up.
