Recommended/preferred manufacturer and compound. Won't see the track, I think...So we'll stick to street compound suggestions...

Pads are going on a 98 ZX-7R, 6 piston, OEM Tokico calipers

You'll be happy with EBC HH. I still think the stock pads for that bike are the best....but the HH's are a nice compromise and less expensive than what Kawi will ask.

are they reasonably priced, Kevin? I'm running the HH's on my ZX? with Brembo rotors, but quite a few folks have been trying to get me to switch the combination.

The PF's are great.. I think that the set was less than $70. I used them all last year and they are still in great shape

I'm sitting on a brand new set of Ferodo's, so I may just use them. The HH's are running thin and I really can't justify the price if Im not racing. I think those rotors will work well with other italians...lol.

If you aren't racing you shouldn't notice much of a difference. The biggest difference between pads is if they have good initial bite or they stay the same all the time(no fade). On the street you are off the brakes enough that you will get consistant performance out of most brands and compounds. Once you get used to what you put in you will like them. That is what I have found. Just my $.02
