    Degsy,
What kind of pads are they? I'd be interested, I have an 04 600rr.
    Thanks,
    Adam

    Re: need new brake pads

I have EBC HH's on my zx14 and my gsxr along with the other bikes I've owned. They are a bit noisy on my 14 but I can deal with it for great performance.

Lol that's one hell of a bump. I think this was one of the first threads I started here. Fwiw. After running the ebc pads I didn't notice any real difference from stock, but my bike came stock with hh. And I'm. Talking street. With 0 track duty.

    Re: need new brake pads

Bumping this again... looking for new front pads on the race bike this year.

Can somebody school me on the differences between brands / models / materials? Any type more popular at the track than another?

    '03 600RR.

    TIA

Ceramic and carbon are supposed to resist heat better, so less chance of fade.

Hat said, I run Carbone Lorraine pads, which you can get through Spiegler. They retail for $59 per side for the fronts.

Sole vote for Performance Friction. Type 95s in my 1098 and I love them. Going for Vesrah RJL for my track ride though.

Performance Friction. Talk to the Street & Comp guys to determine what compound you'll need.
My 2nd best recommendation would be OEM pads.

    Re: need new brake pads

Anyone have any experience with the vesrah RJL's? They are super expensive, but are they worth the money? Looking for a race oriented pad, not necessarily one that will provide longevity.

    Any other suggestions?

EBC HH have worked well on my bikes.

Good initial bite, decent feedback and won't eat your brake surfaces (or your wallet).

I switched to SRJL17 last year. huge difference, I really like them a lot. get them from kurveygirl, she sells them with enough for the whole bike not just per caliper.
