Ok so yesterday i took the SV to the penguin racing school to see what it can do, and boy did it impress me until i lost fuction of my brakes going into a corner.
My brake setup consists of EBC HH pads, Galfer lines. Both installed earlier this week. Not that i wanted to but i could only manage ~150mi's to break in the pads.
This is the link to what happend during my trackday ; http://forum.svrider.com/index.php?topic=76433.0
I'll try and take some pics of my rotor but its almost a "gunmetal" dark burnt type color now, not sure if this is from not breaking in the pads. I mean during that lap that i crashed i went from having brakes in one corner to having nothing on that corner i crashed. But shortly there after brakes worked fine. I'm using spectro dot 4 racing fluid btw. So i ran around the pits and talked to a few SV racers and none could figure out why i lost my brakes, some pointed out possible air bubble (brakes were bled with mityvac), unknown substance that looked like grease on the inside pads, and some guys said i plain ol overheated the brakes because i didn't break them in properly.
Basically i'm asking here cuz i need a lil input from other people to see if this ever happened to you on the track/street. I had a blast at the track but my damn brakes caused me to crash which put a damper on the rest of my track time (which was the last time for the season too). I'll take pictures tomorrow of the brakes and stuff tomorrow if i'm not as sore. Also i should add that the brakes worked perfectly fine for the ride home.
any input is appreciated.
