Those front motor mount bolts on the gixxer have a lock bolt on them. They should never have loctite on them.

Take front fairing off and use a drift to try to knock out the stuck EZ out. Then drill out the bolt to get a bigger EZ out in there I think.

You made me go back and read all of the instructions we ever made for sliders......and I was glad to see that we have never asked riders to use Blue Loctite. In the a couple of the more recent ones we added the Never Sieze recommendation as well. I've got someone on updating all of them at present.

thanks Eric. i know the rearsets say to use blue loctite, and i thought the sliders did too.
i ordered a new slider bracket & puck on Monday asking to get it by Wedneday, but it sounds like I obviously wont be installing it this week.

I've been told that you cannot make anything idiot proof, only idiot resistant.....
Loctite on a motor mount bolt....not too big a mistake. If you guys want some stories, I've got plenty after 16 years of selling aftermarket parts.....some people shouldn't be allowed to touch tools - ever.
Idiot resistant doesn't work either, they keep producing craftier idiots.
BTW, I have a set of EZ-Outs. They are used as a paperweight because as you screw them in with their left-hand spiral "fluting", they spread-out the body of the screw. That makes it even harder to get the broken screw/bolt out. If I have a broken bolt to remove it I get the offending assembly onto the Bridgeport and get it out using a variety of solid carbide tools, left hand drills, picks and other stuff as the situation can vary.
If in the field and this is not practical, use these spline drive type of screw extractors. They are far better!
