    where to buy a clutch kit

    ok so i was out riding today and the clutch finally went so i need a new one anybody have any suggestions on where to buy it?

    How many miles? What kind of bike? Just curious. I've never worn one out. You sure it's not a back torque limiter spring problem or something like that?

    its gsxr 750 about 19000 miles havent fully checked it out yet but when i out it in gear i can let the clutch out with no throttle and it wont stall

    yeah im going to go oem. thats how the bike is right now i could out the bike in gear and let go and it wouldnt stall but when i gave it gas it wouldnt go anywhere itll just rev up

    Did the failure happen suddenly or gradually? I agree, OEM is the way to go too, but you need to take the clutch out and see what's really wrong before you order anything.

    its a 99 and yea it went gradually it was pretty worn when i got the bike was hoping it would make it till the winter

    Sounds like it's worn out. You'll probably need springs as Pigman said, but do take it apart and measure the parts per the manual before you order stuff.

    Ron Ayers has good prices for OEM stuff, but with shipping they are often no better than buying locally and usually take a little longer.

    You only need to replace the steels if they are worn or burnt. Usually you don't need them unless you completely fried the clutch and damaged them.
