The put-together-tool ... Shirley is the closest it looks... Nashua is about 40 minutes or so north east of me, which wouldn't be bad either, i'm up that way every other weekend to get my daughter... I'm still waiting on my new shock to arrive.. Don't know if i should put the chain on now or wait for the new shock..

Well if you want to plan getting together to do it, let me know.
I have no problem lending a tool as long as I come with the tool.

As for cutting the old one off ... don't worry about it, I got just the tool
    for that.

Yeah, I went that route too, its more of a pain in the ass than you'd imagine. Just get the chain breaker/press tool, and do it all in one shot. Shortening the chain with the PROPER tool, literally takes 1-2 minutes, as opposed to god knows how long you might spend fucking around grinding rivet pins out of your new chain.

i have a rivet tool and a chain press in springfield ma... but that is too far for ya.

as for making a chain shorter. i always use my bench grinder to grind the two rivets flat then one tap with a hammer and punch and the side plate falls off. takes only a minute to do. an angle grinder works to remove from bike if needed too. when using hammer/punch on the bike... put link on sprocket to get a solid hit (or get chain tool)

MotoMummy.com (I do a lot of business with them) said that the Motion Pro isn't the best chain tool to use. Lot of customers were complaining that the tool broke somehow (can't remember exactily).

I'd look at the DID tool
D.I.D. KM500 Chain Rivet and Cutting Tool - Sprocket Center

    Or the RK tool
    RK Chain Tool

The owner of Motomummy.com is a guy by the name of Cory. He is a supporter of the Gixxer forum. Awesome guy, great customer service and shipping is pretty decent.

Alex (Punjistick) orders from him too. I think he feels the same way I do about the company.

    Chain Rivet

Can someone post up a picture of a chain after they have Riveted it? I'm unsure if I need to press it some more, or if it is as far as it will go. I don't want to break the tool trying to go too far with it.. It's a DID 530VM if that matters..

Take a small crescent wrench and use it as a vernier caliper.

Stick the small crescent on a riveted link and compare with the one you did.
    Should be the same.

Or get a caliper and measure and compare.
