How does the spark boot attach to the wire? is it just pressed in or is it crimped?

i think they're just pushed in and 'click' like the plug boot onto the plug...

I discovered that Im busy as hell and havent gotten to it yet!
Ill be gone auto-xing in maine all weekend too.
So for now i have been riding it with a lot of electrical tape around the old plug wire!
