Changing Fork Seals on my F4i

At the last TTD's I blew a fork seal on the F4i and now they need to be replaced... (How's that for obvious...)

Rather than bring it into the dealership and have them do it, I'd like to see if someone on here would like to make a few extra $$$ and maybe show me how?

I'm about as mechanical as a rock sometimes and I certainly don't have the required tools...

If someone has the garage, tools and know how, I'll supply beer and pizza and pay them for their time...

    Much appreciated!

    --Brad

Oh yea, I'd like to have this done before the next TTD's...

Just take them off and bring it to kates. Its not worth messing with that stuff IMO. Let a professional take them apart, clean everything then put it back together correctly.

Normally, that's what I would do. However, PK gave me a price of about $500 to work on them, and I'm not interested in spending that kind of coin on a bike I'm selling....

Seals are $30 Oil is $10...

    Manual is $50.

Tools at Sears... Less than $50

    Doing it yourself.... Priceless.

For everything else there is GMD.

    Ahh, that makes sense...

Once I sell the F4i and get my new track bike, I'll definitely spend the extra coin to have you do your magic on the suspension...

I have your card from the last Penguin day, I'll be calling you today to see when I can drop the bike off...

Thanks for the offer, It's much appreciated...

Given the clarification from PK, I'm going to have a professional work on it and make sure it's done right. Not that you aren't, but if I have anything to do with it, somehow, I know it'll get fucked up...
