Sure. Earliest I would be able to do it would be after work on Saturday, around 3 or 330, but I can come look at it after work any day during the week.

Well if you rode a Honda you wouldn't have to worry about that oil-changing nonsense.

Right, & now that it is w/ the speedohealer, you're putting more than 3k miles worth of wear on the engine between oil changes

I think your the only gixxah rider I don't give shit to. So glad to hear your changing your oil and other shit. I am also guilty of the "free ship" buying extra stuff.

No I have not but I do like good customer service so I'll be sure to check them out. Especially if someone is recommending them.

Nice. I hear BMC's really need to get the bike mapped after. I'd order a filter with my oil if I didn't already have one. Figured the plugs would be a good filler to qualify for free shipping

No such thing as too early. The oil usually doesn't stay in my bike for more than 1000 miles or so... But then again, I don't pay for oil...

i probably dont ride as hard as you guys, with your bikes getting some track time. im sure 3k miles between oil changes is fine for my bike.

Yea, I used to get the same complaints... when my 1000 would belch unburned fuel at whoever was unfortunate enough to be behind me... She's much leaner now and much happier...

I'm talking about the 1000. that bike has never seen the track. It just gets frequent oil changes...

Frequent as in, twice a year...which comes out to an oil change every 24 miles or so.

    Re: Checked my odometer today...

I recently upgraded to stainless lines myself, but it was Spiegler all the way. $145 (free ship) and you get all 3 brake lines, not that the rear gets used much on the street...but it still looks nice. Many different colored lines, with whatever color banjos you want to. I have blue lines with red banjos.

Check 'em out if you haven't Spiegler Performance Parts

As for the air filters, controversial topic there. K&N gave no power increase over OEM stock, with poorer filtration (not exactly worth the $) BMC Standard gavve the same power and filtration as stock...BMC race poorer filtration but it made more power. 1-2 I think. Untuned, that was swapping filters and running the bike on the dyno with no tuning.

There was another brand I forget the name of, started with a D something like DNR? I can't remember. They increased power and kept the same filtration as OEM.

My disclaimer is, this info I have read on message boards and I cannot vouch for accuracy, although I know the fellow posting the message ran the bike on the dyno with all the afore mentioned air filters.

In an independant test done by another fellow.....to conclude his findings, K&N filters are trash and aren't worth $5 let alone 60-70. They let a lot of crap through and into your engine.

Beats me, I went with a BMC race because I couldn't find the other brand of filter. Forgetting the name sure doesn't help. heh.

edit... DNA air filters. same increase as a BMC race filter with better filtration than the BMC.

well mine came with a K&N in it, so it would seem to be a waste for me to buy another one. plus i have K&N filters in my truck, so i already have the cleaning kits. personally, i would only buy an after market filter if i needed a new one and wanted to try it. i dont need anymore power on my bike for the street.

The brand name on the package... Serioulsy, don't waste any more brain power over the differences between the Goodridge and Galfer lines. They are both very high quality lines from a reputable manufacturer.

And if you want the Galfers, I'll order those for you...
