    clip-on angle

how do I get the clip-on angle to match what came from the factory?

just line it up the best you can, and run it?

I replaced one clip on, and it just doesn't look straight...and since the upper fairing stay is bent c/o the grass in 12a, I can't tell what to line up the bars to

I would get a square and measure using the triple as a reference....maybe make some alignment marks on the upper triple?

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.

Turn the wheel to full lock and line it up with your tank. You can use a ruler or tape measure if you want to be anal about it. Thats what I used to do with my fzr.

I adjust them roughly to where I want them to be, then go full lock right, full lock left and see if they're symmetrical & clear everything.

    Re: clip-on angle

That's pretty much what I did. I set them to the OEM position, then gradually moved out during a days ride until it felt right. Much wider out compared to stock.
