    Coolant Question - need answers!

I haven't flushed the coolant on the 01 F4i since owning it, which has been 2 1/2 years so far. I'm realizing it's long overdue for a coolant flush, but need to ride home this weekend (150 mi., NY-MA) and back on Monday, when I'll hopefully flush it.

Question is, will I be risking any further damage by riding 300 miles with wicked old coolant in there?

If so, I suppose I can get a bus somehow...

    Thanks folks

Im no expert but I would not worry about it for the ride. If you havent had any problems then just flush it when you get back.

If it hasn't been a problem yet, it shouldn't be a problem now that the weather is cooler.
Worse case it over heats a light goes on and you pull over for a while.
To be safe, just go ask a service shop to take a hydrometer reading from your radiator.

+1 what Sean says. 300 will last for you til the flush. Hell, mine's been in for years too. Just make sure the level's ok.

Eli, i'm the same way as you. if i didnt change the fluid, then i assume the worst. you should be fine and just flush it over the winter. if you need a hand, let me know.

I think it may blow up, but that's just my opinion.
