I did this a few weeks ago. took off the stock damper. Took out the tiny allen screw and drained the oil.
Put in 15w fork oil. Its like night and day.. it wasn't doing shit before. !

If anyone is contemplating it.. do it..

I took a 5 quart mobil one oil container and cut it open to make a deep tub.
Filled it with the fork oil and then submerged the damper. Move the piston back and forth until it sucks in new oil and all the air is out.
Then I pushed the piston all the way to the end where the fill hole is and put the screw back in.. if you got all the air out it will feel smooth and fluent with actual resistance
