Galfer brake pad question.

A new set for the front wheel is expected to arrive any day now.
My bike has two front rotors in good condition.

Galfer suggests "wet-sanding" the rotors prior to replacing the old pads for new ones.

I'm thinking 400-600 grit?

Thoughts?

I've never wet sanded my rotors. But I do sand with about a 200 grit every few thousand miles to remove the glazing. A 4-600 grit would take forever, I'm just not that patient.

I don't know what the right answer is here, but as a racer, we cycle 2 to 3 sets of wheels and you can rest assured we're not changing brake pads to match each and every set.
