I picked up some new goodies and now I'm in the process of working on a few things at once. Check out the pictures I have taken to help explain some of my questions at this link. http://photos.yahoo.com/number1gsxxr
As you can see I picked up a set of Galfer SS brake lines on ebay. I got a wicked good deal on them but as such they were opened. Can anyone tell me if I am missing anything (pic 016)? I don't think I am but I just want to be sure.
I pulled the brake pads and the manual says to look for a grooved line as the wear indicator. All I can see are two slots that I have marked with red arrows in pic 006. Are these the wear indicators? Something tells me that I have plenty of pad left.
In pic 019, I have marked with red arrows two "scratches". Are these normal? Are my rotors possibly warped? Assuming I have plenty of brake pad left, should I just get new (better non-stock) pads since I am upgrading the lines anyways?
I also got a new rear shock. How should I mount the reservoir body? I was thinking about using two SS hose clamps to attach it somewhere in the vicinity of where it is in pic 013. Any better ideas on where to attach it?
Oh ya it's a '01 gsxr 600 if that helps. Thanks in advance for putting up with my barrage of inexperienced questions.
