Have complete wheelset, just looking to put straight rims on the hubs/spokes.

Yea I'm kinda curious about pricing too... the 250 has some loose spokes in the rear. I tried tightening them but a bunch of them are seized up.

Any interest in learning to do it yourself? There was a "how to" I found a couple of weeks ago.

Tricky mike will eat a handful of spokes, eat some chili, then violently fart the spokes out onto the wheel, which will then be laced and true.

You could use a wheel balancer as a truing stand with a few mods. No big deal there.
The big thing is nice even tension on all of the spokes. That's what gives a wheel it's strength. Uneven tension will eventually lead to the wheel de-tensioning. How quickly that happens depends on several factors but the end result is consistently shitty. Having a wheelset that just needs new rims puts you well ahead on the learning curve. Trying to do one from a clean slate can be really confusing for a first-timer.

Re: Can anyone lace a wheel?

Are you reusing old spokes, or a new spoke set? It's easier with a new spoke set as they all have the same 'stretch' available compared to old spokes that may be stretched to the point that you can't get that nice new rim straight.

not sure if you know how old they are but its not really recommended to reuse old spokes/nipples.

Re: Can anyone lace a wheel?

Good luck finding someone to do it using the old spokes. If you buy new spokes and nipples I got a guy that will do it for 75 bucks in Manchester.

Fuck doing it by yourself. Some things are best to just pay the experts.

My roommate is a motorcycle tech. If you wanted to ship those hoops up this way I'm sure he'll be able to hook it up.

rims= art, you can hack up a set, but a pro spent years find a old harley guy.
