    EX 500 pinch bolts

Anyone know what size the pinch bolts are on a 2000 500? Would like to replace the allen head ones with flange hex ones if possible. Makes it easier to safety wire.

I don't think you would have room for the external hex head in the counterbored hole. And I don't think you would have enough clearance for the socket to fit if you were able to get one into the counterbored hole.

Huh... Yeah maybe. I was thinking of a probolt race spec type. It would just make life easier you know.

So you’re suggesting he use red loctite instead of safety wire?

No because that wouldn't be race legal. You can safety wire the stock bolts it's just not easy to drill them or wire them

I don't think you'll find a head that small with that thread diameter.
