    F3 Solenoid Valve

I have just purchased a 1996 CBR600 F3 for track days. I stripped it down today to get rid of the plastics. I noticed a hose hanging attached to nothing on one end. The other end attached to two little breathers in the front nose. I did some research and found out at one point in time it was attached to a Solenoid Valve which is not there. Is this a piece that should be replaced or should i run without it.

The bike seemed to run fine on Tues but with the Solenoid installed will it run better. I have nothing to compare it too as far as running quality. Tues was the first time i ran the bike.

I pulled the Schematics from BikeBandit to find out what the hose should be connected to and found the Solenoid was missing. The parts to be replaced will run $93 for the Solenoid and another $50 for some hoses and connecters. Before i dish out the dough do i need these parts?

I will assume it is a Vacume hose? and I will also asume it is caped off or blocked? if so I will go as far to say it was something for Emissions.. in which case you don't need it..

It's almost like the flapper valve on the RC51. Cap off any hoses coming from the airbox side and don't bother reinstalling the solenoid etc.

Nothing is caped off. When they eliminated the Solenoid and the small outer Air Filter Element they redirected the hoses to the Main Air Filter.
Thanks for the help. I just wanted to make sure i wouldn't have any issues down the line...or loosing any power from lack of these parts.
