    Fairing bolt size and sourcing

Hi Guys, do you know what bolt size motorcycle fairings are usually. Looking for something that will fit the clip in the picture. Can I find these bolts locally? Thanks

A local Ace or True Value will have a good selection of metric hardware (much better selection than Lowes or HD). But you're not going to find anything flanged/shouldered like that though.

Ronayers or bikebandit you'll be able to search the fiche for the OEM part.
You may also have luck searching eBay for "suzuki fairing screw" and filter all used parts - you may find someone parting out a bike.

Thanks guys. Just measured it at Lowe's. They are M5. Will Amazon prime them. Bought some Phillips type in the meantime.

You can generally find "kits" for your bike on fleabay as well.
I bought a fairing kit for the CBR early on. It was very useful to have some duplicates as well as some actual replacements. They are completely chinesium, but will get you through.

Of late anytime I need one I've taken to just ordering 10 from bolt depot. Many of them are used in multiple situations.

This. I buy one for every bike I have. Its usually 25-50 bucks on ebay, which is the cost of just a few bolts from the dealership. Comes in handy all the time.

+100 to Jasnmar/Jetta's posts. Cycle wreckers will often sell the entire set of bolts and hardware from a bike when they part out. Invaluable. These guys are on the expensive side but are worth looking: SunCoastCycleSports | eBay Stores

FWIW I most likely have that exact bolt if you want it. You will not find a shouldered bolt like that at a normal hardware store.
