At some point during my final event of the season, I came back to the paddock without rear brake pads or retainer pin -- just a rear caliper in its normal place. Because the bike is relatively new to me, I hadn't spent any time with the rear caliper, so I don't really know exactly what is missing.
What I know:
--It's a 2-piston (piston is 34mm in outside diameter) Brembo rear racing caliper, stamped "8K23" on the caliper housing, and mounts under the rotor with a bracket that allows Japanese bikes to use this caliper. (see photos)
--I use it on a 2009 Yamaha R6.
--However, this particular R6 uses a lot of 2009 Yamaha R1 parts, including for example an R1 front end.
What I think I know:
--Seems like it's an old Brembo model "P2 34".
--None of the photos I can find online suggest that there were any clips or springs -- just pads on a pin, which seems odd to me.
--Seems like these pads would work with this caliper:

What I can't figure out:
--What pin do I need to retain the pads in the caliper? Is it even available?
--Were there springs in the caliper?
--Keep running into conflicting information and part numbers, etc.
Anyone have experience with this caliper or any suggestions?
Thanks.
