    Fork oil change

So I'm planning on doing a fork oil change on my forks today. I'm debating on doing a spring and revalve at a later time, possibly end of summer, so this is a straight out with the old in with the new. No new seals, just oil. My question is do I need to remove the damper cartridge in order to do this, or just unscrew the top bolt adjuster assemply and remove the spring? Also any particular brand of oil you guys would recomomend?

If they are standard upsidedown forks, you just need to remove the cap, adjuster and spring. No need to take the damper rod assembly out.
