    Front Fork Wobble

The bike is a 2000 Ninja 250 with almost 21000 miles on it. Most miles are mix city/suburb commuter.
Last couple yrs noticed front end wobble getting worse.
Given I'm not a mechanic but like to do some of minor stuff. I am looking for confirmation as this would be worn bearings. Any guidance in purchasing and or replacement would be welcome.

Thxs a lot for any time given!

    Weave or wobble?

    Could be tires or bearings

I took this to mean that there is play in the front end. That would be steering stem bearings.

Paul you got it, Yes, play in front end. When bike was newer I could go hands off slight downhill at 40 plus. Now she's shaking at 20 plus. I assume not a major evolution to change these out?

Even with one hand on bar you don't feel it until you take hands off.

    GLOOMER

Yes start with steering head but with 21K you should go over the whole thing

    Re: Front Fork Wobble

Steering stem bearings, low tire pressure, worn tire, or one that drove me crazy for an entire season, a rim that had a SLIGHT flat spot from a pot hole. The wobble on my bike wouldn't start until 65mph and would go away over 80mph.
