    GSXR Pads - 2 vs 4

So I thought I had 2004/2005 GSXR front calipers, but I'm going to replace the pads and my current setup has four individual small pads, instead of the 2 larger pads I'm seeing OEM. Can anyone shed light on this? Different year? 1000 calipers? It doesn't look like the two pad setup will fit correctly, but maybe I'm just being numb. Sorry I didn't get pics while the pads were out, didn't really think it through at the time!

Okay, pads look just like the pic below. Think I might have 2003/2004 GSXR 1000 calipers:

I am now 99.9% certain these are 2003 GSXR 1000 calipers. Woohoo my pad options are now terrible

Dimension for 04-05 GSXR 600 calipers here https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/motorcyc...004-2005/37882

I would just send the rotors to True disc LLC and get a set of Newer GSXR calipers or 06 and up R6 calipers with the spacers and new pads that are readily available. Also, throw a good set of lines on there also.... be done with it

If it helps your search: those calipers are the same as the 4-pad Tokicos on 03-04 ZX6R and 04-05 ZX10R. I've found that pad P/N will be different and not cross-reference, but are identical. The newer ZX6R Nissins may also be the exact same pad. I have both calipers if you want me to check for ya.

    Re: GSXR Pads - 2 vs 4

Thanks. Can confirm they are the 2003 GSXR 1000 calipers, last year before they switched to 2-pad.

@Keeena - looks like you're right about the ZX6R, sweet - might open up pad options a bit for searching

@Pigman - Depends on where my plans go with this bike (05 sv650), just finishing a rebuild/frame swap then deciding how much to throw into this particular money pit! Figured I would go to 05 GSXR 600 calipers to match the front, new wheel/rotors, Spiegler/Galfer lines if I hold on to it.

This is what's on there now:
