New 3rd gen is on the website today for $1799.
With the 15% coupon, it would still be $250 more than the 2nd gen I ordered yesterday.

I wanted the full length drawer latch, but didn’t care about the power drawer.
Other than that, I don’t see another benefit to paying the extra money for the 3rd gen over the 2nd gen.

Looks like they pulled the 3rd gen off the website. Someone probably made a mistake since that 15% coupon could be used and they wouldn’t want new inventory getting discounted

I never considered a farm jack before, till I watched a couple of youtube Alaskan chainsaw mill videos, certainly beats trying to use a floor jack in the woods

quick notch in the end of the log ya wanna lift, jack the log up, throw a block under the log, go to the other end of the log, repeat, now the log is off the ground at a good working height

I've been thinking about buying one of those cabinets but I've never seen a display one. Is it worth it?

I think so... Thin metal but decent. Lots of holes in pegs to use pegs etc so long as you use a 1x4 or such to hang and give some space between wall and cabinet.

Iits not as good as say a craftsman wall cabinet. But good enough.

Re: Harbor Freight tools that DON'T suck

I had to torque a bolt to 640 lb-ft and HF was the only store around that had something in stock that would measure that high. Ended up getting a Quinn 3/4" torque adapter and a 3 foot 3/4" breaker bar. Worked great and was not terribly expensive. Claims to be plus or minus 2% accurate and this video seems to confirm that it's really that good: https://youtu.be/bCb2a4BJAv4

Anyone know if this lift ever goes on sale? Need a new method to lift my new bike and I've heard this is a good one for that.

Re: Harbor Freight tools that DON'T suck

It does but only by about 20 bucks or so. This weekend is the memorial day sale which generally has the cheapest prices of the year on stuff so if it's on sale now its probably as low as it will go. Coupons usually exclude jacks so a sale is the best time to buy.

I myself will be buying several thunderbolt 100 watt solar panels and a few small 3 gallon air compressors this weekend for a couple tiny home projects I'm working on. For sure they are all the cheapest I've seen them in recent memory.

The Braun LED shop lights?? Was just looking at those, need new bulbs for the basement shop lights, figure just upgrade to the LEDs units.

The HF disc brake compression tool seems to be a bit more heavy duty than the auto shop models with the plastic X handle, plate seems a bit thicker and the metal handle lets you put a wrench over the end to get extra leverage.

correct. 5500. was about $17 each. bought one for each canopy (i use two 10x10's in the pits). they can get plugged into each other to make it one power connection too.

It now doesn't matter, he won the war. Sears and Kmart only have half a dozen stores in the US. That ratchet from 1983 was the tipping point.

NOT HF, but if anyone needs an electric impact (corded) it's even cheaper than HF, and probably the same unit inside....

a while back, I bought this Farm Jack https://www.harborfreight.com/60-in-...ack-58448.html
to help with my Alaskan chainsaw milling projects, I didn't realize how heavy duty the jack would be, takes a few minutes, but I can lift a 20ft x 32" dia. pine log up on to cants for milling
