Have to check my stands and see if they are affected.

Took the Predator 3,100psi, 2.8gpm, 6.5hp [Chonda] pressure washer out of the garage yesterday and it started first pull. Hadn’t been used since last September and wasn’t winterized. It’s done everything our DeWalt/Simpson (which has a real Honda GX) has, but cost a little over half.

They took my stands back and gave me a gift card for their value. They only had large 12-ton stands in stock so I used the card on some other odds and ends I needed.

Since EVERYONE is doing it, it was only matter of time until HF joined the party:

I’ve got some really exciting news to share with you—the new Harbor Freight Credit Card is here. And I’m proud to say that this card is not only one of the best values in tools, it’s one of the best and most valuable tools Harbor Freight has ever offered.

That’s because we created it with you in mind. We know you come to Harbor Freight for value, and we made sure to create a credit card that offers exactly that. No annual feeϮϮ. 10% off* your entire first purchase when you open an account—with no exclusions—and that’s on top of any coupons that apply. And you’ll get 5% back in Harbor Freight Money** on all future purchases.

Or—and this is big—you can choose 0% interest with equal monthly paymentsϮ on any purchase of $299 or more. You can come in, outfit your entire workshop and you’ll get true 0% interest promotional financing. That’s the technical language, but let me put it in plain English: You simply pay equal monthly payments on the 0% Interest purchase price with no added interest. Ever.

We’ve spent over 40 years bringing hardworking folks like you the quality tools you need at a value you can’t beat. The Harbor Freight Credit Card gives you even more value—a great way to purchase the tools and equipment you need and you get to choose the credit offer that’s best for you.

You can read more about the card here, and apply in your local store. Am I excited? You bet. I think you will be too. Discover a whole new level of value at Harbor Freight and apply now.

My needs have outgrown my 3 gallon compressors. I need something with larger capacity and better pressure (does that matter for heavy duty tires?). Are the 1.5-2hp HF air compressors any good? Oil or oiless? I don’t care about noise. I think there was a thread somewhere here about all this.

Tons of guys have the 29 gallon oil model on Garage Forum, and we had one at work.

We have the 8 gallon 2hp at home for 5 years, works well. Price has gone down, now $100. Quite portable.

What did you think of the 8 gallon? How’s the noise on the oil one? What limitations you found on it?

I’ve had the 8 gallon one for 11 years. Use it for occasional air tool stuff, filling tires, blowgun dusting, minor paint spraying.
The wheels are convenient to roll out to the driveway to fill the car tires, it’s light enough to carry upstairs to nail trim.

Ditto. Great bang for the buck. Bought a Valve, pressure gage, hose and fixtures as well.

I have the 29 gallon... works great and is pretty quiet. Don't have to worry/wait for it to cycle when I'm running the impact wrench a lot.

My understanding of oil-lubed compressors is that they will be much quieter than oil-less compressors.

I got one of these a few months ago. So far so good running a ratchet, impact wrench, hammer, cut-off tool, die grinder and pin nailer. Going to start painting soon (bicycle frames) so this will be put to the test.
