    Kawasaki Kleen System...Remove?

It's the system that connects the exhaust valves to the airbox via reed valves, which sucks clean air into the exhaust pipes during the exhaust stroke to help ignite any unburned fuel from the power stroke.

I've heard that removing it can give a bit more power, and make the bike run smoother. Anyone ever tried? Opinions on removing the system? The small change in airbox volume isn't going to drastically change my A/F ratio is it? I've got the bike apart anyway so it would just be a matter of blocking off the reed valves and not installing it. Would save me a small crapload of stupid hoses to put back too.

Would I be a bad person for allowing unburned fuel into the atmosphere? I don't want to be a bad person, but I was under the impression the difference in emissions was negligible...

It does not affect power one iota. Just leave it intact. A crap load? there's like three hoses or something and most can be left in place if you pull the whole assembly off the valve cover as a unit.

I didn't write that you can't kill me!

Ok yeah three hoses. I said a *small* crapload. Ok, emissions stay. Thanks for the advice, it's hard to separate the good stuff from the bullshit sometimes...

Shitcan it ALL... My bike never ran better after I dumped all that shit...And the treehuggers can . My bike gets 42 to the gallon. My Supercrew gets 19...Do the math.

Here's the link. While it doesn't create IMMENSE power gains, it make it just OH SO SA-MOOTHAH !!!

    Look here too...

www.redmonkey.com/7r it's a 7R site (obviously ) but most kwak's are more or less the same...
