    Kawasaki/Triumph valve shims

I have heard that some Kawasaki and Triumph engines use the same size diameter valve shim. Does anyone have a shim diameter # of a Kawasaki shim so I can compare it to the triumph. Trying to save major road time not to mention triumph is probably marked way up compared to kaw. There aught to be a trading system for these things. But then I quess the dealer wouldn't make their cut.

There are a few companies that make shim kits. I know Hot Cams does and I think K&L.
they may have a guide as far as different shims go.

I have a Kwak kit. They are 7.48 mm (aspirin sized). I'd be happy to trade shims.

I looked it up, my shims are way too small for your bike. Pretty sure you need 25 mm shims.

I had a Triumph Sprint with the 955 motor. The mechanic I had do the valves advised me that he used shims from a Kawasaki.

Sorry I cant be much more specific.

They are the 25mm and many bikes use the same size. Kaw's, Hondas, even some cars. Now I'm on the hunt for a shop to trade with once I get my cams off and find what size I've got where. Too stupid to save my drawings from last time.

Japanese brand dealers are a plenty around the lakes region and with some scouting I'm sure there is a mech or dealer willing to swap shims. Hell, it would save them money due to not having to stock unnecessary inventory they may never sell.

What model of Kawi? 25mm seems awfully big for a shim-over-bucket design
