So my kickstand's bolt hole (the frame hole) has become widened and worn down so that when I lean the bike's weight on the stand, the stand hits the ground, then the bike leans another several unnerving degrees. I'm worried that not only with the hole slowly continue to grow, but each degree more it tips, more and more weight is being put on it. Probably going to snap eventually, and the stand will punch through even quality pavement. I've started using a 2x4 as a kick stand platform to keep the bike more upright, and I'd say it sits at just about the right angle with that extra inch and a half of wood.
I took it apart and it looks like it could be sleeved. Is that the best fix? Does anyone have a recommendation on where to source sleeves, and what type of metal I should go with? Is this something that should be welded in place, or can I use it as a bushing?
Just my luck that the kickstand hole is part of the frame, not a replaceable part.
