Price for all wrenches or just the most expensive? I have 2 @ $150/ea.; different scales obviously.
Believe it or not, I think Home Depot has the best deal on Torque Wrenches (and I'm one of those guys who shops around a lot first). They carry Husky brand torque wrenches and they're incredibly well made.
I have both, the 1/2" and the 3/8" for different ranges. The 1/2" is $80 and the 3/8" is $75.

I use a 1/4, 3/8 and a 1/2 drive. For something like a sparkplug at 14 ft/lbs I will use the 1/4 at 168 in/lbs for better accuracy. The 1/4 is a SK and the 3/8 is a Craftsman digital and the 1/2 is a chinese no name.
an extention will skew the reading an adapter wont..
A u joint certainly will cause it moves the axis

You Sir know nothing of true greatness. I of course refer to ones ability to steal, drink and generally do nothing, and carry it off with style
Anyone ever get theirs calibrated? Just because you set it and it clicks doesn't mean it's the right torque
lol.....edit.... Guess there is an echo in here

I use a CDI 0-50 ft lb dial torque wrench (3/8 drive) for the smaller stuff and a Snap-On 30-150 ft lb 91/2 inch drive) ratchet for the larger stuff.
Same company and great to work with over the phone in regards to questions and recalibration.
