Thanks for the help everyone who didn't take the questions to heart
Maybe you should have started on a smaller bike... We won't go down this road too far AGAIN but who told you a 600rr was a good first bike? I want to know just so I can call them idiots to their faces.

My first bike was a 97 zx6r. I did just fine. Don't want to get into all this first bike discussion, but if you have any brain that function properly and are not 18 years old, a 600 CAN be your 1st bike.

    1997 ZX6r
Peak Horsepower: 92 bhp at 12,000 rpm

    2003 600rr
Peak Horsepower: 107.2 bhp at 13,500 rpm

    There is a slight difference.

Slight difference indeed which wouldn't stop one from killing himself anyway.
This is what I had in the 97 zx6r manual, same numbers as in Bikez.com ( I did copy/paste )

    1997 zx-6r
    Power: 105.00 HP (76.6 kW)) @ 12500 RPM

    2003 600rr
    Power: 117.00 HP (85.4 kW)) @ 13000 RPM

Obviously power rated is at the crank.

thanks for all the help everyone...the bike is already bought (even though Virtualbong was sad to see it go) and like I have posted before I sat on the bike and messed around with it when I brought it home and I am much more comfortable on it. The first time I went to look at it it was the first time I sat on a bike of its size so I guess you could say I was in awe haha.

it's all good now and hopefully I will be around next season for some group rides and a couple track days.

I checked this weekend, I have a set of lowering links for the 600RR if you're interested.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

I don't think you understand how much I am missing it...thank God it's winter time and I wouldn't be able to ride it anyways and I just realized that I won't be able to use my dad's Integra (he totaled it the other week) as my winter beater, so I have to get snow tires for my G, which is going to drain my account...just when I thought I could start saving again...

btw. I honestly think you will be fine on the bike. Just take it easy and don't go nuts on the throttle (I don't think you will anyways).

I really wasn't referring to the power... I was referring to the size. A smaller sized first bike might have given him more confidence is all i am saying.

Good luck with your ride dude, keep the shiny side up.
