Maybe you should have started on a smaller bike... We won't go down this road too far AGAIN but who told you a 600rr was a good first bike? I want to know just so I can call them idiots to their faces.

Figures... I bet you Rode Denno bitch too. :poke:
yea, found out it was his way of giving me the reach around
screw that, i started on a huffy with sweet pegs on the rear
:lolup::lolup::lolup:
1997 ZX6r
Peak Horsepower: 92 bhp at 12,000 rpm
2003 600rr
Peak Horsepower: 107.2 bhp at 13,500 rpm
There is a slight difference.
comon Doctor, cut the crap on first bike. we know you know all the slight differences. it's already done. he's probly got what it takes. either help him along or don't help him.
Slight difference indeed:twofinger which wouldn't stop one from killing himself anyway.
This is what I had in the 97 zx6r manual, same numbers as in Bikez.com ( I did copy/paste )
1997 zx-6r
Power: 105.00 HP (76.6 kW)) @ 12500 RPM
2003 600rr
Power: 117.00 HP (85.4 kW)) @ 13000 RPM
Obviously power rated is at the crank.
thanks for all the help everyone...the bike is already bought (even though Virtualbong was sad to see it go) and like I have posted before I sat on the bike and messed around with it when I brought it home and I am much more comfortable on it. The first time I went to look at it it was the first time I sat on a bike of its size so I guess you could say I was in awe haha.
it's all good now and hopefully I will be around next season for some group rides and a couple track days.
if the RR seems too much power for you, i'll let you borrow my huffy :naughty:
I checked this weekend, I have a set of lowering links for the 600RR if you're interested.
I don't think you understand how much I am missing it...thank God it's winter time and I wouldn't be able to ride it anyways and I just realized that I won't be able to use my dad's Integra (he totaled it the other week) as my winter beater, so I have to get snow tires for my G, which is going to drain my account...just when I thought I could start saving again...
btw. I honestly think you will be fine on the bike. Just take it easy and don't go nuts on the throttle (I don't think you will anyways).
I really wasn't referring to the power... I was referring to the size. A smaller sized first bike might have given him more confidence is all i am saying.
Good luck with your ride dude, keep the shiny side up.
there;s a shiny side :scratchhead:
