    master link

    so call me a noob but im in need of help

    i bought a 520 rk chain and new spockets
    the question i have is how do you tell if its a rivit master link or clip style? it has o-rings this is what i bought but it doesnt have any info and the package it came in didnt as well

    Find the master link contained in its own package inside the box the chain came in.

    On the clip type, you're looking for the sort of U-shaped part (that's the clip).
    Clip type:


    On the rivet type, you'll have a link with 2 posts, a link cover and prolly 4 o-rings in the package.

    Rivet type:

    I have an RK rivet tool that works the balls. Just be sure to throw some grease at the cutting pin before you use it or else it will shatter.....yes, shatter.
