    Mechanic; Boston...

    I own a 2004 Ninja 250 and I live in downtown Boston.

Can anyone recommend a decent local mechanic preferably close to a t-stop?

    Thanks!

A lot of us can help with little things (chain work, oil and filter, fork flush, bleeding the brakes, and so fourth).

thanks for your reply. My bike is currently at Riverside getting carbs cleaned and new rear brake pads. I was interested in seeing if there is an less expensive smaller shop out there.

Next time I need to get something done on my bike I will definately reach out to the group here. Thanks

thanks for your reply and this is great to know! I brought my bike into Riverside last week as the carbs were leaking gas and was told I need new brake pads. I considered taking a shot at doing this work myself (at least the brakes) but was afraid to get into a project over my head and have a partially disassembled bike on the streets of Boston. Next time my bike needs work I will definately reach out to the community here! Thanks again

no bike should ever need rear brake pads. the original ones from the bike should be a lifetime supply

Check the Yelp reviews (for Boston...) I saw some very positive ones for shop work (versus dealer work) earlier today. Lots of bus coverage in this area.
