    Monster 900 Fork Tube Height

    I recently bought a '99 M900, and had a quick question.

What's the stock fork tube height for the classic monsters with Showa forks supposed to be?

The fork adjusters are *right under* the bar... and something about that doesn't seem quite right about not being able to get a screwdriver to the rebound adjuster. I figured someone is in the know here, and could help me out. DMF and DML have answers of 13mm or 20mm above the triple, and a few in between. I'm going to be raising the rear ride height soon (common mod), so I want to make sure the front forks are at stock height...

The adjusters on those are inaccessible like that from the factory.

Re: Monster 900 Fork Tube Height

i ran over the triple clip-ons on mine. They had a low profile clamp that requires raising the forks to about 18mm. That was the limit in terms of stability. The bike is so twitchy you could run them flush if you like. Lots of bikes with bars have the access issue. On my KXF I can't get at the clickers without removing the bar.
