    Motion Pro chain breakers

I'm looking to get a chain tool. I hate cheesy tools. I'm looking at what Motion Pro offers and they look pretty nice.

I'm looking for feedback on these. Any particular one to stay away from?

I like the looks of the PBR tool.

I have the same one I used it as a riviter it worked great I was afraid of breaking the tool so I didn't use the breaker part (heard to many horror stories) I just ground down the link with a grinder and used a screw driver to pop the plate off

I grabbed the Stockton set from Cycle Gear a couple of months ago when it was $39.99 (now back at regular price of $89.99).

Good setup. I only use it to rivet. As mentioned above, I grind the rivets of the old master off. It takes much less time.

Check out Pit Posse as well. They have great tools. I have their Metric Rotating T-handle set (http://pitposse.com/noname24.html)

They have several breakers as well, including this one: http://pitposse.com/poheduchcuri1.html.

Same here. Still grind the head off the rivet, but it seems solid.

RK and Dremel the head off the pin.

Use the chain breaker function to push the pin out.

I too have the motion pro jumbo chain tool. I have broken a few chains with it and have had no problems, just follow the directions to a T. That new one looks really nice.
