Try a tz 250. Even better a rs125. Bang it out between practices.
The old days it was simple. Plane the heads and port and polish. Maybe a blueprint and balance for some free horsepower and more reliablity. If you had bucks a ignition and then a cam and bigger carb. Now you get a chip.
From the old Fram oil filter ads - You can pay me now, or pay me later. It also depends on how much work you do yourself.
Besides - if you didn't spend it on bikes where would it go? Hookers and blow? You'd still be broke.

Seems straightforward to me.
Take engine apart, pack as much money in there as you can, reassemble and torque bolts per manufacturer's specs.
what's even more funny is once you 'build' said motor.. most of the time you've built the reliability right out of it.
What do you do to it besides change the oil and clean it and tell to go slow for the first 2000 miles?
Scottie... you need some help. maybe MAA (motorcycle addicts anonymous)
