    oil/gas in the airbox?

I just changed my air filter and there appeared to be a sheen of oil or perhaps gas that had gotten spit up through the rear velocity stacks... it had a reddish color so I am assuming it was gas.

Problem? OK? The bike has always had stabilized fuel over the winter and probably never went more then 2 weeks without being started anyway.

I cleaned it up and assume I should check it again in a few months and see if it came back?

The bike is running fine but I am running a power commander, could this be from the bike running rich?

    D'oh... beat me to it.

I removed all that junk from the S-Hawk and replaced it with a proper baby seal killing greenhouse gas emitting gun-toting crank-case breather.

    oil/gas in the airbox?

Ah.. I hadn't really traced the lines.. so there is probably a line from the crankcase to the airbox I could unplug?

I don't think I care anyway as long as it doesn't hurt the motor.

Should be... just make sure to affix an appropriate filter to keep the mung out of your crank case.

I re-routed the breather and disabled the PAIR system. Doesn't hurt the motor, but it can't really help it either... AND since I hate baby seals so much and need every advantage I can get to beat Rossi, I absolutely had to do it.

Just a quickie. I put a pcv valve on my gixxers' breather tube, mounted vertically. So she could breath out, but not back in. Just a thought.
