    1. make your own. get some gasket meterial and have a machine shop cut out the shape you need.

    2. All you really need to do is plug the hoses that come off the engine and take the pair valve off.

The Busa pair valve plates also fit the SV

look up the pair sucker mod. Basically you replace the large hose that goes to your airbox with a fuel hose(they are stronger and won't collapse). You re-route it to your crank case breather and cap off the airbox. This will create a crackcase sucker pump. It evacuates the pressure inside your motor and has been shown to pick up 2 to 4RWHP on a Hayabusa. Not a lot but it's basically free and not only will your not have to block off your PAIR valve but now you've just gained something in the process.

what's a pair valve? I assume it has something to do with emissions and removing it makes more power?

"What is the PAIR valve you ask? It's part of the Emissions system on the bike. It injects air into the exhaust ports to burn off the un-burnt fuel. You really won't gain Horsepower from doing this (some do claim 1-2hp gains though). It's not heavy so no real weight loss either. I was gonig to get the bike put on a Dyno and tuned the next tuesday so I figured I'd remove this before then. Either you remove it, or clamp the hoses when you get it tuned on a dyno. Otherwise the air injection will throw off the A/F reading on the Dyno and the bike won't be tuned correctly. Also by removing the valve the bike feels alittle smoother, no popping on deceleration anymore. If you are bored, go ahead and remove it, or if you plan on having your powercommander tuned on a dyno. Otherwise it really didn't make much of a diffrence."

Not removing it and running a full system can cause the bike to run lean though because more air is being injected into the motor.

Interesting. I googled it myself last night right after I posted. Most people seemed to notice popping on deceleration with it removed. Many claimed it did absolutely nothing and once it was put back in the popping instantly stopped. So I duno must be one of those try it for yourself and see type things.

I do have a full system on my bike now and don't notice any popping. One of these days I might take it out and see what happens.

maybe it's just on a Hayabusa that it needs to be removed then, but I would think it would be the same for all bikes.

The Pair injects air AFTER the exhaust valves...has nothing to do about a lean run. It also doesn't increase horsepower. reason for removing, and blocking off, is to stop 6 foot flames from shooting out of your aftermarket pipe, and quell the popping.

I always thought that was what the flames were from.

It can be used to make more horsepower though by re-routing the hoses and replacing the air hose with fuel hose and making a crankcase evacuation pump. Granted it's only 2 to 4RWHP but it'll only cost you about $3.00

I'd rather have the flames. Flames are fricking sweet. And backfiring just lets everyone know you mean business.

Actually, the system really doen't evacuate the amount needed to fully put the crankcase into a vacuum....If you saw the kind of pumps they use on pro stock bikes, or the mini superchargers on formula one engines, will make you take another look at it.

Ok this isnt "my bike" but its the same bike with the same set up as mine. Its a dyno run with the pair valve still on the bike. It might look cool but its god damn annoying after a while to get the popping on deceleration.
