    Pilot Power to Power 2CT

So very soon I will be taking off my old
Pilot Powers and spooning on my new 2CTs.

Anyone know if this will change the front to rear
ride height relationship ? Whose made that change and noticed?

I'm about to put on a new steering damper and thought while
I am at it I would raise the front just a tad as I think I dropped
it a smidgen too much (6mm) last spring. But why alter anything
now if the tire change is going to mess with it all over again.

My CT2's are on the way hopefully I will get them mounted before the VIR trackday.

I'll report back after the trip! Degsy will also be on the CT2's.

I very much doubt they'll change the front to rear ride height. Even if it does, you probably won't notice.

Just put em on & ride. If you wanna adjust handling after that, then make changes.

Probably no difference, but some simple measurements from the ground to the axle center will let you know for sure.

I just put on some Pirelli Corsa IIIs in place of the MIchelin Power Races. The Pirellis were 3/8" taller in the front and 1/4" in the rear.

Did you adjust the fork height at all? You bike is so stable I think you could lower the front a tad.

To clarify, I measured from floor to axle center with the tiresw mounted, but off the bike and doubled the measurement to get the diameter. The numbers I gave were the diameter.

I decided not to change the geometry, because I had raised the forks when I went from the 65 profile stock tires to the 70 profile race tires. But I raised the forks just a bit too much, so the 1/8" difference in the tire diameters should net the results I want. The ZX is stable, but it's a bit nervous on the street, so we'll see how it feels during the first track day.

    Pilot Power to Power 2CT

I had heard on other board that the
Power to Power 2CT change is almost none existant.
Which seems like the logical thing for Michelin to do
given that they use the same name in both tires.

So anyway I'm not doing anything now with the ride height.

This weekend was a productive one.
I installed a Scotts Damper and went to full syn 10w50 Repsol
and went to Water Wetter. Its a good feeling. Its odd how one
starts to feel physically like the bike feels. Its like a blood tranfusion !

Just hope I didnt change to Water Wetter too early !
