Plastic Repairs

    Yeah, id recommend plastic welding with embedded mesh for a part like that.

    I should have mentioned to brush it on sparingly.

    It works surprisingly well. I'd say 75% of the panels on my Grom were acetone welded, including some mounts and tabs.

    A higher viscosity solvent would be very beneficial, I'd imagine.

    You can drop time and effort into repairing it to look really OK. There are lots of Chinese fairings, and they are getting better looking every year. Take at least 5 minutes to consider buying that before you start a new repair project that won't get anywhere close to perfect. And there is something called ultrasonic welding that will work on plastic, but its $$$
