    Quick brake discs question

    Hi everyone,
It's time to replace the brake discs on my NC700X, and I came across a set of Lyndall brakes.
Can anyone please comment on them for me? Is there something special about them compared to the regular drilled rotors?
I was looking at the B-52 model. Or it's better not to experiment and just pick a regular brake rotor set?

Thanks and sorry for the noob question J
    Ken.

Well those are certainly some fancy looking rotors. But damn, at the price they are asking, I would probably only use them on a show bike. You should be fine with just a standard set of rotors on the NC being that it is more geared towards a commuter bike than a performance bike. However, if the look is what you are after and the price doesn't shock you, then why not go for it. I do not have any previous experience with the brand.

Typically rotors themselves don't wear out too easily. Why do you think you need rotors? Warped or out of spec on the thickness?

Thickness, plus they rust badly even when I do not ride within a week...

Absolutely, sir! But as long as I bought a pre-owned bike, I've got it with the rotors from the previous owner. I do not know for sure what happened to them but looks like he tried restoring them or something...
So I was checking on what my options are and saw those rotors, Lyndall.

They look cool. A bit overpriced, but as long as I'm paying not only for looks but for performance or at least better cooling + faster response, I'm good with that.
But before buying, I wanted to hear your folks opinion. I was hoping someone had a chance to try them and can say something about how they perform compared to the OE ones.

Read a few reviews of the lyndall brakes. Cause I had not heard of them. They got mixed results. With service and product. I would just buy Brembo rotors and pads since money is not your issue. My two cents.

Yes, that's what I did last weekend. I saw different opinions, but I just thought I can ask real people here.
I was thinking of Brembos, as they are great compared to the other brands.

You know what your getting with brembo's as for the other company it's a crapshoot.. I would go with the known brand.

    EBC, Brembo, etc.

Or, just find a used set on Ebay for cheap. Should last the life of a bike like yours.

Or hell, OEM in a lot of cases aren't stupid expensive. I wouldn't buy a motorcycle brake rotor from a places that says they're 'universal fit - not vehicle specific'.
