Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
Remember, if you cannot find a local place... you can come to any Tonys Track Day or LRRS races and we charge $20 per wheel off the bike at Pirelli.

Thanks mate, can I hit you up next week? Current tire has already got one plug in it and I don't think I want to risk putting another in.

If you don't get it done before April 23 weekend, you can bring it to our Thompson, CT trackdays and we'll do it there... $20.

Whats the turn around time usually on a change. How many session(s) would I miss out waiting for my tires to be changed?

Check with Tony / Mike in advance. Usually they are able to work with you as long as you can work with them. It should be possible to not miss any sessions.

Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
For anyone north of Boston, there's a guy in Tewksbury that I believe charges $15/wheel off the bike, $20-$25 on the bike. Ill confirm prices for you guys, but its Bay 4 Motorsports. I wouldn't trust him for anything else besides inspections and tire changes though as I've not heard spectacular things about service or sales in any of the motorsport sectors.

Might try making an appointment with Riverside and see if they can help you/do an in-out change.

Last spring i had Bay-4 change both tires. He wanted $50 a wheel.. I asked if he was serious and he said that he'd do it for $40 a wheel then. Don't know what he charges everybody else but that's why I'm looking elsewhere.
That was wheels off the bike also.

Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
Holy hell. He must be on hard times or servicing the rich and famous. Definitely was NOT like that last time I went. Sorry for the waste of time.

No worries man. When did you go to him last? That was a year ago so I have no idea what his prices are now. If he went down I'll go back to him. Just got my inspection there last week, should have asked.

Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
I have to go this week for an inspection (if it stops f*cking raining). Ill ask about the tire change prices. Last time I would have been there was 2012. I had been in Houston since then. He's just an average dude, so I'm going to straight up ask what the hell happened to prices. $50 is outrageous.

Thanks! That would be great to know.

Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
I came into work on a lovely Saturday just to spend an hour changing a rear tire on a DR650 (tubes, curses). Lubed the chain, checked front pressure, checked the brakes and fluid levels, made him look at my ice riding pictures. Maybe $30 wasn't enough. He's from Boston, so I felt kinda bad he had to ride here. I never know what to charge for bike tires, because I spend all the time talking bikes. :dunno:

Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
Is there anybody on the south shore or needham area that can do a set (off the bike)?

Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
CycleGear in Woburn will do $25/wheel off the bike if you buy tires from them. Tire prices closely follow the best online and "friend" prices I've found. $380 for a mounted set of Q3s isn't too bad. I didn't buy my tires from them but even so ($50/wheel off the bike) they were still the cheapest and most available around me (Wilmington).
From what I can see they know how to mount tires well as there was no wheel damage and the tires were at appropriate pressures after. A bit of extra lubricant left, but other than that A-ok.

Re: Read Here For Tire Changing!!!
FYI Jim Pigeon also does motorcycle inspections and top notch mechanical repairs
